4-H began in Sussex, New Brunswick in 1916. Join us to celebrate 100 years of 4-H in our beautiful province!

4-H in New Brunswick is a rural, community based organization, which develops life skills such as citizenship, cooperation, responsibility, independence, entrepreneurship, leadership, teaching of proper environmental practices and financial management through achievement in project and program work for young people between the ages of 6 and 21.  

The program is organized into local 4-H Clubs, 4-H District Councils and the Provincial 4-H Council. In the 2015-2016 year we have a total of 5 districts, 27 clubs, 501 members and 171 adult volunteer leaders in New Brunswick.
